Modern Alibi drops new single “Somewhere Far Away”
American alt-rock outfit Modern Alibi has shared a new single titled “Somewhere Far Away“. The track is taken from the group’s debut album “American Radio”. Listen to the song below.
Modern Alibi is a high-energy alternative rock band from Charlotte, NC, founded by musician and songwriter Holden Scott. While studying music production in college, he initiated a solo project in 2021 that focused on songwriting and production. Throughout that year, Holden performed both as a solo artist and with talented local musicians, allowing him to experiment with his sound and original music.
This experience motivated him to form a band to bring his musical ideas to the stage. His musical journey has transformed from a solo singer/songwriter guitarist into a dynamic four-piece indie rock band.
The lineup features Holden Scott (rhythm guitar/lead singer), Josh King (bass), Christian Sturt (drums), and Carter Ritz (lead guitar). Delivering a powerful vibe tempered by grooving bass lines, modern drumbeats, vintage guitar tones, and a uniquely rich and rhythmic vocal style, the band has been likened to a blend of the Arctic Monkeys and Twenty One Pilots.
