French avant-garde metal duo Mirar, known for their thall and djent-driven sound, have released a new single titled “The Dream of a Ridiculous Man”. The track is now available across streaming platforms and continues the band’s focus on dense rhythms and experimental structures.

The title references Fyodor Dostoevsky’s short story of the same name, and while the literary nod sets a reflective tone, the music stays firmly in Mirar’s own world. However, the new single leans into their familiar mix of hyper-precise low-end riffs, digital textures, and shifting time signatures that blur the line between metal and electronic music.

The release follows the band’s debut album “Ascension”, which came out earlier this year and helped introduce the band to a wider audience beyond the thall scene. With this new track, the duo continue to build on that momentum while keeping their sound sharp and uncompromising.
