UK-based singer-songwriter Michael Blackwell has announced an upcoming European tour for October/November 2023.
The trek kicks off on October 30 in Hamburg, Germany and wraps up on November 5 in Groningen (Netherlands). Blackwell will then perform in London, UK, on December 1. Tickets go on sale this Friday 18 at 10am CET.
Michael Blackwell is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from County Durham, UK. He has spent the last few years working with artists such as Louis Tomlinson, Amber Run, Lewis Capaldi and is now ready to embark on his own solo journey. Drawing from a range of influences, Blackwell’s sound combines classic singer-songwriter, 90’s grunge, 00’s indie and modern alt-pop.
Learning guitar at a young age, Michael was inspired by his father’s record collection, listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Police and The Beatles. As he grew, he became obsessed with a lot of bands and artists from the 90’s such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Soundgarden, Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots cementing his love for guitar and classic songwriting.
“Nothing Makes Sense” was the debut single from Michael Blackwell, a song about the struggles of understanding everyday life received critical acclaim from Clash magazine labelling the song “an Alt-Rock Ripper”, Wonderland magazine and Notion to name a few. Following his first single, Michael released the follow up a reflective take on growing older and looking back on the adventures and challenges life presents. His latest release is “Lesson Learned”.
