Metallica’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo joined contemporary jazz great Kamasi Washington for performance of “My Friend Of Misery”
Metal giants Metallica are releasing a special version of their 1991 hit album “Black Album” to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The special edition will include the cover album “The Metallica Blacklist”. The covers will be performed by artists such as Ghost, Weezer, Royal Blood, St. Vincent, Biffy Clyro and Miley Cyrus.
The cover album will also feature Kamasi Washington, one of the most respected musicians in contemporary jazz. Washington performs the track “My Friend of Misery“.
Now Washington performed the song at a concert on 18 July, with Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo providing support. You can watch the performance below.
