California-based metalcore band Petroglyphs is back with a powerful new single. “Wilt” marks their first release since the 2021 album “Into the Aether” and is now available for streaming below and across major platforms.

The song dives deep into the experience of loss — that moment when someone important disappears from your life, and you’re forced to accept that a chapter has ended. Through poetic metaphor, “Wilt” compares human grief to a flower that withers and dies, while also offering a message of hope: just like flowers bloom again, life too can blossom after heartbreak. It’s a moving reminder that sometimes hope is the only path toward renewal.

Petroglyphs has built a reputation for blending crushing breakdowns with ambient textures, creating a melodic and atmospheric metalcore sound that sets them apart. Their earlier albums, “Ascension” and “Desolate/Eternal”, earned praise from fans of the genre, and “Wilt” continues that legacy with emotional intensity and sonic depth.
