Finnish power metal act Metal De Facto unleashes the second single “Gojira” from their highly anticipated new album “The Land Of The Rising Sun – Part 2”, set for a worldwide release on March 6th, 2026 via Reaper Entertainment.
Inspired by legendary Japanese monster mythology, “Gojira” was born during the songwriting process for “Land of the Rising Sun – Part 2” and quickly evolved into one of the album’s most energetic tracks. Built around a powerful, instantly catchy chorus, the song combines raw, driving heaviness with a bold power metal edge – a punchy, high-energy anthem clearly designed to shine on stage.

Sami states:
“While we were still writing songs for Land of the Rising Sun Part 2, I binged all the movies about one legendary Japanese monster and realized we needed to have a song about it on the album.
I think I wrote the chorus first, and the rest of the song just came out easily after that.We surprised the others with Aitor and sent a demo to the band that already had really great demo vocals.
Then Esa, Benji, and Atte added some cool ideas, and it turned out to be a really catchy, kinda ‘Motörhead goes power metal’ tune. I think this will be a great live song!
And the video shoot was probably the most hilarious session ever! I think the fans can see that.”

About Metal De Facto
Formed in Helsinki in late 2017, Metal De Facto features Esa Orjatsalo (ex-Dreamtale), Sami Hinkka (Ensiferum), and Atte Marttinen (Kivimetsän Druidi). The band’s motto, “Make Power Metal Great Again”, reflects their dedication to bringing back the classic spirit of power metal. Their debut album, “Imperium Romanum” (2019), set the stage for a band committed to high-speed precision, epic melodies, and thrilling performances.
