Metal Church unveil official video for “Dead To Rights”

American heavy metal veterans Metal Church have released a new music video for “Dead To Rights”, the title track of their thirteenth studio album, which arrived in April 2026 through Rat Pak Records.
The video features live footage filmed during the band’s performance at the Alcatraz Festival in Kortrijk, Belgium, in August. It captures the group’s current lineup performing in front of an enthusiastic European festival audience.
The latest incarnation of Metal Church features founding guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof and longtime guitarist Rick Van Zandt, alongside former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, drummer Ken Mary (Flotsam And Jetsam, Fifth Angel, Alice Cooper) and vocalist Brian Allen (Vicious Rumors).
Commenting on the performance, Mary explained that the Alcatraz appearance was a particularly memorable experience for the band, with the musicians and audience feeding off each other’s energy.
Vanderhoof also emphasized that “Dead To Rights” was written with live performances in mind, describing the festival appearance as a demonstration of the chemistry within the band’s renewed lineup.
The current incarnation of Metal Church made its live debut on May 17 at the San Luis Metal Fest in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
“Dead To Rights” was produced by Vanderhoof, while mixing and mastering were handled by Chris “Zeuss” Harris at Planet Z. The ten-track album marks the first studio release from the band’s current lineup and follows 2023’s “Congregation Of Annihilation”.
Metal Church are now preparing to embark on a co-headlining North American tour with Armored Saint, with Livekill serving as support. The 16-date “Metal Saint Tour” begins on November 2 at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California, and concludes on November 21 at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California.
The new video offers fans another look at Metal Church’s latest chapter as the band continues performing with its revitalized lineup.
