It took almost ten years for Infestuous to come together, but the wait is now finally over. From the American Rust Belt, Matt Tluchowski (Doctor Smoke) and Alan Cassidy (The Black Dahlia Murder) have been working together on Infestuous for a long time, as per MetalInjection. The project started in secret back in 2009. The first tracking was done in 2012, but life, bands, and other obligations took precedence, thus the recordings were put on hold. The content wasn’t reviewed again until 2020–2024. The outcome is” Unfathomable Mutagenic Abominations”, a violent death metal slab with a strong groove and a technical bent that will be released by Silent Pendulum Records on April 17, 2026.
The album’s lead track, “Palace of Rot,” which serves as a harsh introduction to the band’s very macabre sound, was released by Infestuous to commemorate the announcement. Tluchowski and Cassidy share vocal responsibilities throughout “Unfathomable Mutagenic Abominations”, locking into a dense, powerful songwriting style that connects traditional brutal death metal with a more contemporary, groove-driven approach. Steve Lehocky’s guitar solos (formerly from Doctor Smoke and Necrophagia) provide still another level of intensity. View it below and place a preorder by clicking here.
