Megadeth have released a new single titled “Puppet Parade”, taken from the band’s upcoming self-titled farewell album “Megadeth”, which arrives this Friday, January 23. The track is the latest preview of what will be the legendary thrash metal outfit’s final studio release after more than four decades of activity.

With “Puppet Parade”, the band leans into sharp, fast-paced riffing and tight rhythmic precision. At the same time, the song carries a darker and more reflective edge, which fits the broader context of a closing chapter. While Megadeth have not shared an official statement about the song’s meaning, its themes have already sparked discussion among fans following its release.

The self-titled album “Megadeth” was announced last year as the band’s seventeenth and final full-length. Since then, the group have steadily rolled out singles that showcase different sides of their sound, balancing classic thrash aggression with moments that feel more personal and introspective. As a result, the album is shaping up as both a nod to their roots and a deliberate send-off.

Alongside the album release, Megadeth are preparing for an extensive farewell tour, giving fans one last chance to see the band live. With “Puppet Parade” now out in the open, the countdown to the end of an era has officially entered its final days.
