According to reports, Dave Mustaine, the leader of Megadeth, has gone into the studio to start writing and recording the group’s upcoming studio album. A fan posted on Reddit that Mustaine has entered the studio with producer Chris Rakestraw for the next six months. Dirk Verbeuren, Teemu Mäntysaari, and James LoMenzo are instead sending song ideas from home and they’ll all reunite in the studio later on. Producer, mixer, and engineer Rakestraw previously worked on Megadeth’s 2016 album “Dystopia” and 2022’s “The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!” It also appears that the sessions are still in the early phases, with an estimated timeframe of around six months being planned for their progress and completion.
