Mysterious UK metal band President have officially announced their debut EP, “King Of Terrors”, due out September 26th. The news dropped alongside their latest single, “Rage”, a calmer synth-driven track that’s already stirring up buzz—especially after it was previewed live during their set at this year’s Download Festival.
The EP will include six tracks in total and the band has described the record as a deep dive into themes of darkness, death, and religion, referencing its title’s Biblical connotation as “King of Terrors”—a phrase often associated with death.
President first made waves back in May with their debut single “In the Name of the Father”, which quickly gained traction and helped them build a rapidly growing fanbase. Their second single, “Fearless”, followed in June and came with a high-concept music video that sparked speculation about the band’s identity. The buzz only intensified after their explosive live debut at Download Festival, where they played five songs to a packed crowd on the Dogtooth Stage.
They’ve since sold out their first headline show at The Garage in London on July 30 and are gearing up to support Architects in Australia this December, followed by a European run in January alongside Architects and Landmvrks.
Vinyl collectors take note: the band is releasing limited editions of the EP in grey marble and white vinyl, with special bundles including exclusive merch. The music video for “Rage” is also now available, keeping with the band’s eerie, theatrical visuals.
