Marilyn Manson issues brief statement regarding sexual assault allegations, posts his defamation lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood online
Marilyn Manson has newly issued a brief statement last night (2nd of March 2022) in regards to his current legal situation, which includes a defamation lawsuit he filed today against ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood and her apparent significant other, Illma Gore. The suit alleges that Wood and Gore intentionally defamed him by orchestrating a coordinated campaign of sexual assault allegations.
The suit also alleges the aforementioned pair engaged in impersonating an FBI agent over the internet in a bid to coax other women into coming forward with similar allegations against Manson, among other things.
Per the complaint, Manson alleges Wood and Gore oversaw the duties of coaxing several women into coming forward with ‘similar’ allegations of abuse against him. The complaint alleges that the duo furthered their cause by impersonating a member of the FBI, suggesting an allegedly bogus investigation into Manson.
It further alleges that they used Wood’s [Westworld] star power to entice these women into following scripts and checklists regarding the accusations. It is also alleged that Gore impersonated Manson online via a fake email account and manufactured correspondence via said account.
Later it alleges that Gore ‘swatted’ Manson in February of 2021, thus triggering several police units to attend his residence as part of a campaign to intentionally defame him and cause him emotional distress.
The complaint also alleges that via Warner‘s former assistant Ashley Walters, Gore was able to gain access to Manson‘s email, social media and several other passwords and unlawfully gain access to his personal accounts—a direct violation of a confidentiality agreement she had signed with him while under his employ.
Walters is one of several women currently suing Manson for sexual assault and more alongside his former girlfriend, actress Esmé Bianco, his former girlfriend Ashley Morgan Smithline and an unidentified woman.
All of the above suits were filed after Wood and several other women publicly came forward in February of 2021 with allegations of abuse against Manson. In Manson‘s newly issued statement, he offered;
There will come a time when I can share more about the events of the past year. Until then, I’m going to let the facts speak for themselves.

This defamation lawsuit arrives ahead of an upcoming HBO documentary titled Phoenix Rising, which in part focuses on the accusations made against Manson by Wood and several other women.
