Today, we sit down with Adam and the Metal Hawks to dive into their creative process, challenges, and what lies ahead for them in the world of heavy metal. Their latest release is “Hurry Up And Wait” in August 2023: the album is a solid addition to any catalogue, so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to chat with the ensemble. They are also going to tour in the USA, so be sure to check out their confirmed shows!

Hello and welcome on Chaoszine! How are you doing at the moment and who is answering our questions?

Adam Ezegelian: This is Adam! I’m the lead singer of Adam and the Metal Hawks! (@Amhband)

Six months ago you’ve released your 2nd album “Hurry Up And Wait”, and I think it still sounds very fresh and modern. How have the fans and the press welcomed the release?

Adam Ezegelian: We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to this album and we couldn’t be more proud! We worked very hard on this album and I hope it shows when you listen to it!

What was the recording process like for “Hurry Up And Wait? Were there any memorable or challenging moments in the studio that you can share?

Adam Ezegelian: There were some songs on this album that we had to redo certain parts and go back in to add extra details so making sure everything lined up perfectly was our biggest challenge, but I think we managed to make it work in the end!

You’re going on tour with Punk Rock Factory: do you already have anything else planned for the rest of 2024?

Adam Ezegelian: We have some shows in Las Vegas this summer as well as our first headlining show in LA at the historic Whisky a Go Go! We are also announcing more tour dates soon for the end of the year so if you’re looking for our next live show be sure to check our website, amhband.com, for all of our information!

Speaking of tours, do you have any “rituals” before going on stage?

Adam Ezegelian: We usually have some vocal warm-ups to do to make sure our harmonies are in top shape!

Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?

Adam Ezegelian: Never! We treat every live show like a big party and everyone is invited! You wouldn’t be nervous to hang out with your friends and jam, would you?

Absolutely! For us Finns the band is still relatively unknown. How would you describe the band yourself to someone who has not heard about you ever before?`

Adam Ezegelian: AMH is bringing the fun of classic rock back to a new generation through our social media covers and our rockinì new original songs! If you are a fan of hard rock then come give us a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Music is your call and your life: what are your hobbies instead?

Adam Ezegelian: We enjoy playing games, eating great food, and playing music of course!

What sports do you enjoy watching or playing?

Adam Ezegelian: When we are on the road we always have a baseball or basketball game to keep track of, sometimes we are there live singing the US national anthem live for the game before it starts!

I wanted to play a little game with you, if that’s alright. If Adam and the Metal Hawks were an animal, what would it be, and why?

Answer: I think if we were an animal the obvious one would be a Hawk! Soaring about the clouds and looking to swoop down and strike!

Thank you so much guys for taking the time to do this interview with me! Is there anything else you’d like to add to Chaoszine’s readers?

Adam Ezegelian: Thank you for taking the time to get to know us, please listen to our music and find out for yourself if you are a part of our AMH family! We’d love to meet you at show and rock out!
