Lucie Sue’s new album “Battlestation” out today

French artist Lucie Sue is thrilled to announce the release of brand-new album “Battlestation” on 29th August via Sphynx Music. Furthermore, Lucie signed a physical distribution deal with Listenable Records for both vinyl and CDs, while retaining TuneCore for digital distribution. The record will be available in different formats: crystal CD case, collector’s pink vinyl (limited edition of 500 copies) and digitally across all main platforms.

“Battlestation” is a one-of-a-kind album, a collection of 13 tracks, each leading you toa different universe. “Battlestation” is an invitation to an eclectic journey. Lucie Sue refuses to be boxed in; she thrives on daring mixes and surprising fusions: a blend of 90s Grunge, Hard Rock, Metal, with a classical twist!

Lucie Sue crafted “Battlestation” at home, in her living room. Lyrics, music and instruments, were single-handedly forged, creating a genuine grunge metal nuclear bomb. But she wasn’t alone on this battlefield!

Her brother, Baptiste, her lifelong accomplice, lent a hand with recording and fine-tuning the arrangements. Her band mates Enzo (guitar) and Mitch (drums) also recorded and arranged their own parts on the record. Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign and precious support form her loved ones, part of the funding was secured. The rest? A daily grind to unearth the missing funds. But Lucie Sue is living proof that with killer ideas, relentless hard work, and boundless energy, you can move mountains: she dropped 8 singles and their videos in 8 months on a ridiculous budget.

Each track is a slice of life, a true story, drawn from her childhood, relationships, love, grief, the afterlife. Everything is approached with raw honesty and mind-blowing lyrics! And to top it all off, an unexpected, yet exceptional, collaboration: Satchel, the legendary guitarist from Steel Panther, on the track «Ride the Wired Wild Tiger»!
