Lucie Sue unveils new single “The Famous Last Words”

Lucie Sue is thrilled to announce the release of brand new single “The Famous Last Words“ on 14th February 2025. The track is accompanied by a music video available here.

 
Following from the release of debut UK single “Battlestation“, the French songwriter, musician and vocalist par extraordinaire shares another chapter form the forthcoming new record of the same name, which is due out later this year.
 
In Lucie’s own words the new single is:

a hymn to human weakness! Have you ever woken up with a terrible hangover, swearing to yourself, “This is the last time I drink!”? Have you ever broken up with someone, promising “it’s over for good”… then falling in love again? It’s happened to all of us, of course. And there’s an American expression for it: Famous last words. Human beings are weak, and I’ve made a supercharged and powerful song about it: catchy, worthy of this spectacular battle against oneself.

“The Famous Last Words” delves into the concept of human struggle and waekness on both a sonic and a lyrical level, with the music perfectly mirroring the essence of each word.

This song speaks to everybody because it works for all addictions ! And it’s quite cute because making mistakes is human. We’ve all been there. You just have to be aware of it and admit that, fuck yeah, we are so weak !I love the fact that the song starts slowly, like a hangover, and then it’s super speed, as you are caught in the craziness of your addiction, and then, the rhythm slowers as you fall back again into pain and regrets… Limalh would say : it’s a never ending story…
