Mexican indie rock outfit Lovely Paradox has unveiled a new cut entitled “No Me Hagas Esto”. Watch the Camilo Erazo-directed music video below.

The track was composed and produced by Diego Orozco, with lyrics and vocals by Omar Orozco, mixed by L.E. Ro and mastered by Joe Lambert. Enrique Bojorquez (saxophone), Ger Beltrán (drums) and Andrés Arzate and Diego Orozco on piano also contributed.

The band states: “‘No Me Hagas Esto’ explores human vulnerability in relation to others and to oneself. The song stems from something very specific and personal: a phrase that Diego constantly repeated within a relationship — “Don’t do this to me” — which, over time, ceased to be merely an emotional reaction and became an idea that demanded to be transformed into music“.

Adds the group: “It speaks of that moment when we no longer clearly know what belongs to us and what comes from outside: expectations, fear, desire and memory. The lyrics shift between the emotional and the abstract, like fleeting thoughts that contradict one another. Rather than providing answers, it leaves the questions open, like echoes of consciousness that repeat themselves. It is a song about the impossibility of remaining indifferent and about experiencing feelings even when one would prefer not to“.
