Lafayette, Louisiana thrash outfit Void has officially joined the ranks of Metal Blade Records, a label long tied to heavy metal’s global rise. The band says the partnership feels natural, and they are already sharpening their approach for what comes next.
Formed in 2019 by vocalist Jackson Davenport, Void built its name on a mix of classic thrash speed and sharp technical control. At the same time, the band leans into darker themes and cinematic storytelling. Their 2023 debut album “Horrors Of Reality” introduced fast, intricate riffing and a sinister edge that quickly caught attention in the underground.
That momentum led to a deal with Shadow Kingdom Records in 2024. Soon after, the band focused on crafting “Forbidden Morals”, a concept album centered on a lost traveler descending into the castle of Vlad The Impaler. The record pushed their narrative scope further and helped expand their touring reach.
Following its release, Void became a steady presence on the road. They shared stages with Dark Angel, Forbidden, Sacred Reich, and Exhorder. In addition, they appeared at festivals such as Hell’s Heroes and Keep It True, further cementing their position in the modern traditional metal scene.
Now, with a new label behind them and a focused lineup in place, Void moves forward with clear intent. The next chapter is already in motion.
