Hold on to your hats, people. There is a new wave of modern metal about to arrive your way, that goes by the name of From Ashes To New. These American gentlemen will release their new album “Reflections” on April 17th, 2026, and I’m here to tell you all about it.
The band is entering a new era of confidence, clarity, and emotional weight. From Ashes To New now sharpen their solid formula into their most self aware and deliberately crafted album yet. The result is a record that feels both familiar and yet energized: not a bad combination, if you ask me! We like a group that know their worth and aren’t afraid to own it.
The production, mixing, and mastering across “Reflections” are undeniably strong; every layer is balanced with precision. “Upside Down” to me is one of the album’s most compelling tracks and my personal favorite, leaning into temptation, chaos, and the parts of ourselves we pretend not to recognize. Another strong track is “Falling From Heaven”.
While “Reflections” is cohesive, that cohesion sometimes slips into homogeneity. During the listening experience, several tracks follow similar structures and emotional arcs, which can make the middle section blur together on first listen. But this doesn’t diminish the quality of the work: this is a band writing from experience, not theory.
That said, the album overall shows what happens when the band stretches beyond their comfort zone. From Ashes to New aren’t trying to reinvent themselves entirely, they’re refining what works, cutting what doesn’t, and leaning into the emotional core that has always connected them to fans. So get ready to enter a new realm when April 17th comes, and “Reflections” drops everywhere!
