Long Distance Calling release official video for new single “Sinister Companion”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 26.3.2026

The music video for “Sinister Companion” has been released by German instrumental prog rock band Long Distance Calling, as per theprp. That song is the last single from the instrumental group’s next album, “The Phantom Void,” which is scheduled to be released on April 10. The accompanying music video wraps up a trilogy that began with their “A Secret Place” video and continues with “The Spiral.

Described as “the shortest, hardest and strongest album of their career”, “The Phantom Void” marks a bold creative statement. Remaining fully instrumental, the album tells a dark, cinematic and emotionally charged story, driven by tension, atmosphere and narrative depth. Musically, Long Distance Calling once again merge massive soundscapes with intricate details, propulsive grooves and a focused, direct songwriting approach, more concentrated than ever before.

“The Phantom Void” consists of seven tracks and stands as one of the most focused and powerful releases in the band’s catalogue. Coinciding with Long Distance Calling’s 20th anniversary, the album captures the band at a creative peak: imposing, dynamic, full of atmosphere and depth.

The album will be available in multiple formats:

1LP Black Gatefold Heavyweight 180g,

1LP Pearl Flip / Dawn Gatefold Heavyweight 180g,

1LP Glow In The Dark Gatefold Heavyweight 180g (shop exclusive),

and as a CD Digisleeve.

The first pressing of all formats features an embossed logo and fluorescent highlights, underlining the album’s distinctive visual identity and collector appeal.
