LIK and Cloven Hoof announced for Candelabrum Metal Festival in Mexico

Candelabrum Metal Festival continues to surprise its audience with new acts for this year’s lineup, featuring obscure yet fantastic bands. This time, it was LIK and Cloven Hoof’s turn! Two very different bands, but both set to electrify the crowd equally.

LIK (“Corpse” in Swedish) are from Stockholm, Sweden, and deliver a fierce death-metal sound reminiscent of the old-school days. They have an unashamed style that pushes the limits of the human body, with relentless drum blasts, strong riffs, and beastly growls. Although LIK are relatively new, they have established themselves as a promising band, with four studio albums since 2017 and numerous live performances across Europe. Playing at Candelabrum Metal Festival will be a significant milestone for them, marking their first stage appearance in Mexico. LIK are currently on tour promoting their latest album, “Necro” (2025).

Cloven Hoof emerged from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in 1979 with a unique concept, blending science-fiction-inspired art with larger-than-life hard rock, guided by a concept in which the four elements (water, fire, air, and earth) weave the lyrical stories behind their songs. They disbanded in 1990 but reformed in the 2000s to reclaim their spot in the heavy metal scene. This time, the band leans toward a more power metal style, with long songs, theatrical lyrics, and harmonized tempos. Cloven Hoof are sure to impress the audience with their rockstar showmanship, performing tracks from their latest album “Heathen Cross” (2024), along with hits from their discography.

Candelabrum Metal Festival will take place on 12 and 13 September 2026, in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, and has become in recent years a major hub for extreme metal in North America. Tickets can be purchased online here.
