Post-hardcore heavyweights La Dispute have unveiled a brand-new single titled “Environmental Catastrophe Film”, offering another glimpse into their upcoming fifth studio album, “No One Was Driving The Car”. Set for release on September 5th via Epitaph Records, the album marks the band’s long-awaited return—six years since their last full-length outing.

The new track follows in the footsteps of the album’s first three intense and emotionally charged songs: “I Shaved My Head”, “Man With Hands And Ankles Bound”, and “Autofiction Detail”. Together, these tracks set a haunting and reflective tone for what’s to come.

According to vocalist Jordan Dreyer, the album title was inspired by a news article he came across. Thematically, the record dives deep into feelings of despair and helplessness in the face of an unraveling world—painting a stark picture of modern existential dread.
