“See You On The Other Side,” Korn‘s seventh studio album, was released on December 6th, 2005, and it will soon turn 20, as theprp reports. Recently, an enhanced reissue on vinyl and digital formats was released to commemorate that occasion. The album’s b-side, “Last Legal Drug (Le Petit Mort),” is now available for streaming on DSPs. For the pioneers of nu metal, “See You On The Other Side” signaled the end of an era in a number of ways. It was also their last studio album with drummer David Silveria and their first without guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, who had quit to deal with his drug problem and follow his Christian beliefs.
After a long tenure on Epic/Immortal, the trio also made the switch to Virgin Records. “See You On The Other Side” went gold in January 2006 and was certified platinum in March of the same year, despite the band’s inconsistent critical reception.
In May 2026, nu metal pioneers Korn will embark on a run of headline performances in Latin America. On that run, Seven Hours After Violet will open, while Canadian alternative metal band Spiritbox will once again be the special guest of the ensemble.

Korn is going back to basics for their next album, currently in the works. During Download Festival in the UK, guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer revealed that the band is recording the entire album on tape — live in the studio, all together in one room. The goal is to capture the raw energy and chemistry that defined their early records, embracing a more hands-on, analog process.
