East Coast death metal duo Kontusion has dropped a punishing new track, “Subjugation,” accompanied by an intense music video. This ferocious single comes from their impending full-length debut, “Insatiable Lust For Death,” set to release on July 25th through Profound Lore Records.
The band features drummer Chris Moore, known for his work with Repulsion, and guitarist/vocalist Mark Bronzino, formerly of Iron Reagan and Mammoth Grinder. Together, the pair crafts a savage blend of blistering riffs, blast beats, and ominous atmospheres—an unrelenting assault that fuses the raw spirit of old-school death metal with modern extremity.
“Subjugation” opens with a rare slow-burning groove before exploding into a barrage of tremolo riffs and chaotic drumming. The accompanying music video blends wartime archival footage with shadowy performance clips, reinforcing the track’s themes of control, decay, and humanity’s darker impulses.
The album was recorded between Volume IV Studios in New Jersey and Damaged City Studios in D.C., mixed by Kevin Bernsten (Full of Hell, Ulthar, Misery Index), and mastered by Nick Townsend (Full of Hell, Integrity, Misery Index).
Kontusion is currently storming through Europe on tour with Molder.
