East Coast death metal force Kontusion are set to release their debut album “Insatiable Lust For Death” on July 25th via Profound Lore Records. The band just dropped a vicious first taste of what’s to come — the crushing lead single “Throne Of Skulls” is now available for streaming.
Formed by vocalist/guitarist Mark Bronzino (ex-Iron Reagan, Mammoth Grinder) and drummer Chris Moore (Repulsion), Kontusion deliver a savage blend of riffs, relentless blast beats, and walls of searing feedback. Their music channels the bleakness of a world teetering on the edge — a sonic reflection of chaos, brutality, and large-scale destruction.
The band recorded their debut with Chris Pierce at Volume IV Studios, while mixing duties were handled by Kevin Bernsten (Full of Hell, Ulthar, Misery Index) at Developing Nations.
Despite having only a demo to their name until now, Kontusion have already stormed stages across the East and West Coasts of the US, the Midwest, and Texas. They’ve supported death thrash legends Deceased, played Maryland Death Fest, and are returning to the West Coast and Canada this May. A European tour is also in the works for summer 2025, ending with a slot at Obscene Extreme Fest in the Czech Republic.
