Japanese metalcore outfit Knosis, led by former Crystal Lake vocalist Ryo Kinoshita, dropped their latest single, “Tanebi”. The intense track offers another glimpse into the band’s highly anticipated debut full‑length, “Genknosis,” which is set to launch via SharpTone Records on August 1, 2025.
“Tanebi” marks the ninth song on the album and follows previous singles like “Shinmon” and “Fuhai”, featuring Yukina of Hanabie. These earlier releases have already built impressive momentum around Knosis’s inaugural long-player.
“Genknosis”—a play on “Generation Knosis”—represents the band’s first major statement, blending raw metalcore energy with deeply personal themes. The album, recorded under the guidance of producer Yosh Morita and mixed by the likes of Buster Odeholm and Chris Kelly, revisits several tracks from earlier EPs, now fully re-mixed and remastered for this definitive version.
Physical editions—CD and multiple vinyl variants—are already available for preorder through SharpTone Records and European outlets, with all formats expected to ship in August.
