Created especially for the Düsseldorf celebration, these vinyl editions will be sold exclusively at the event. The collection brings the original German logos and sleeve designs back to vinyl, with details drawn from the band’s early German releases.
– Five classic albums: “KISS”, “Hotter Than Hell”, “Dressed To Kill”, “Alive!” and “Destroyer”. Each title comes in strictly limited, individually numbered black and colored vinyl editions. Alive! is presented as a double LP.
– Nine colored 7-inch editions: recreations of the original German singles, including Beth / Detroit Rock City, Flaming Youth / God Of Thunder and both the EMI Electrola and Bellaphon versions of Shout It Out Loud / Sweet Pain. Each edition is strictly limited.
– White Label collector editions: a handful of strictly limited collector editions of each of the five albums, with dedicated art cards.
The self-titled debut has a particular collector twist: a newly created German round-S logo treatment imagines how the album might have appeared with that distinctive German identity. Across the collection, the sleeves and labels make the history of KISS in Germany part of the records themselves.
Exclusive KISS celebratory merchandise created for KISS 50 Germany will be available only at the event in Düsseldorf. A limited photographic fine art print by Didi Zill forms part of the collector offering. The photographer himself will be available at the event to hand-sign these prints. Rare images by Didi will be on display, documenting KISS’s appearances in Germany in 1976.
The celebration adds a special guest performance by Shogun Mojo, the new project from Tommy Thayer and Dan Reed. The two artists will present its world premiere in an acoustic performance in Düsseldorf.
KISS lead guitarist Tommy Thayer is the event’s Featured Special Guest. KISS Forever Band will perform live, with Tommy joining the band during its set. Doro Pesch, the Metal Queen, will join Tommy Thayer and KISS Forever Band for the musical finale. Concert promoter Ossy Hoppe and photographer Didi Zill will also appear as special guests, sharing some of their personal KISStories during an on-stage Q&A.
