Kirk Hammett slips and destroys! Metallica’s guitarist falls on stage

During Metallica‘s headline performance at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on June 19, guitarist Kirk Hammett added yet another unplanned fall onstage to his list of accidents, as per theprp. The slip happened yesterday while the 1983 Metallica setlist classic “Seek & Destroy” was being performed. The song is the penultimate track of the evening, suggesting that Hammett recovered quickly despite missing a few more riffs. Today, June 21st, Metallica is scheduled to return to the stage at the same location. With the description “Slip & Destroy,” Hammett posted the footage of the incident on his own Instagram story, demonstrating that he has accepted the mistake.
You can also see in the video that Hammett wasn’t solely to blame for the mishap since, rather than tripping or stumbling, he rested his foot on a cover that collapsed beneath his weight.
