King Diamond has released a music video for his latest single, “Spider Lilly.” The heavy metal icon collaborated with Myrkur, who provided backing vocals for the track. Directed by David Brodsky, known for his work with bands like Cattle Decapitation and Entheos, the video features scenes filmed at the Pennhurst Asylum in Spring City, Pennsylvania, during the band’s fall tour. Reflecting on the experience, King Diamond expressed his hope for more collaborations at the asylum, noting the eerie yet exciting atmosphere just days before Halloween. He mentioned that there are many stories connected to the creation of “Spider Lilly.” The track was mixed by Arthur Rizk, recognized for his work with Soulfly and Code Orange, and is part of a forthcoming horror trilogy titled “Saint Lucifer’s Hospital 1920”.
