Killswitch Engage drops video for “Collusion”
Three-time Grammy-nominated metalcore pioneers Killswitch Engage have released a new music video for their track “Collusion,” from their latest album “This Consequence,” which dropped February 21 on Metal Blade Records.
Vocalist Jesse Leach explains that “Collusion” addresses the power dynamics between ruling elites and ordinary citizens, exploring themes of propaganda and social division. “It speaks about the propaganda and divisiveness used to keep us in control,” says Leach. “It’s about the ruthlessness of the ruling class who use wealth to raise, manipulate, and destroy empires at their will.”
Leach hopes the song encourages critical thinking and deeper analysis of government systems, stating, “My hope is to instill a desire for analyzation and critical thinking amidst the current rigged and corrupt forms of governments the world over.“
