Killswitch Engage bassist and artist Mike D’Antonio has denied claims of using artificial intelligence to create the cover art for the band’s upcoming album “This Consequence”. In an interview with Australian media outlet Jaimunji, D’Antonio said he spent eight months and more than 10,000 photos creating the cover art.

D’Antonio expressed his frustration at the claims of using AI, stating, “I don’t want to be associated with AI. I am an artist and I can do my own thing.” However, he acknowledged that AI can be a useful tool for those who cannot afford or have the creativity for traditional art.

“This Consequence” is the band’s ninth full-length and sixth with singer Jesse Leach since his return in 2012. The album will be released on 21st February 2025 via Metal Blade Records.
