Kid Rock cannot perform any more shows in California – and here’s why

California Governor Gavin Newsom has “indefinitely suspended” Kid Rock from playing in the state, as reported from theprp. The proclamation was issued on September 19th as part of Governor Newsom’s continuous attempts to use social media to mock his sour political foe, US President Donald J. Trump. It is assumed that Newsom’s remarks were a reaction to the ongoing dispute between the FCC and Jimmy Kimmel, host of a late-night talk show. Earlier this week, Kimmel’s ABC program, “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” was halted indefinitely due to her remarks on the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk. The Federal Communications Commission reportedly put pressure on ABC and its affiliates, which led to the imposition of that suspension. Despite being a longstanding friend, backer, and close ally of Trump, Kid Rock does not seem to have publicly addressed Newsom’s most recent satirical post. Rock has performed at official Trump rally events and even offered advice on legislation pertaining to price gouging and ticketing as a result of his years of support for Trump.
