Denver doom metal band Khemmis has dropped a new single titled “Beneath the Scythe”. The track arrives ahead of the band’s upcoming self-titled fifth album, due June 12, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The new single follows “Invocation of the Dreamer,” which Khemmis released earlier this year alongside the album announcement. Meanwhile, the upcoming album marks the band’s first full-length since 2021’s “Deceiver” and their second self-titled release, following their 2013 debut EP.
The lineup features Ben Hutcherson on guitar and vocals, Phil Pendergast on guitar and vocals, Zach Coleman on drums, and David Small on bass. Small joined the group in 2022, making this his first studio album with Khemmis. In addition, the band has confirmed several 2026 tour runs in support of the release, including a one-off show with Acid Bath and Chat Pile, a headline tour with Necrofier and Wretched, and a supporting run with Monolord.
