Kanonenfieber release new single “Heizer Tenner”

German blackened death metal act Kanonenfieber have released a new single titled “Heizer Tenner”, continuing their focus on grim World War I narratives. The track is available now below on all major streaming platforms and comes with an accompanying music video.

With “Heizer Tenner”, the band dives into the story of a stoker serving aboard a German warship during the Battle of Jutland in 1916. As a result, the song centers on the brutal reality of life deep inside the boiler rooms, where survival depended on endurance rather than heroism. The lyrics stay grounded in historical detail, which remains a core element of Kanonenfieber’s approach.

Musically, the single sticks close to the band’s established sound. However, it also leans into a more somber and reflective mood at points. Harsh riffs, driving drums, and bleak atmospheres shape a track that feels both aggressive and heavy with tension. At the same time, the pacing allows the narrative to breathe without losing intensity.

Heizer Tenner” will appear on the upcoming compilation “Soldatenschicksale”, which brings together reworked material from earlier EPs alongside a small number of new songs. The release is set to arrive on February 6 through Century Media Records.
