Kaaos Festival returns to Vaasa in July – First bands announced

Kaaos Festival will return to Vaasa on July 24–25, 2025 for its second edition. Set against the stunning seaside backdrop of Vaskiluoto, the festival once again presents a diverse lineup of heavy music across multiple genres.

From Gothenburg, Sweden, Dead By April will return to Vaasa after 15 years. The band, hugely popular in Finland, is renowned for their energetic live shows and hits such as “Losing You” and “Crying Over You“.

Also from Sweden, Machinae Supremacy is set to perform. Known for their unique fusion of video game music and metal, the band has carved out their own genre – “video game metal” – and achieved international cult success.

Long-running Danish death metal veterans Illdisposed bring their crushing riffs and decades of experience to the festival. Formed in 1991, the band has released over a dozen albums and is considered one of Denmark’s most important extreme metal exports.

Finland’s own grindcore pioneers Rotten Sound will deliver a very special hometown performance. The band will play their classic albums “Murderworks” and “Exit” in full, promising one of the festival’s most intense shows.

Two-day super early bird tickets are now available via Liveto. Other ticket types will go on sale in spring 2026.
