Jukka Nevalainen opens Finland’s first Wildcat piercing and tattoo shop in Joensuu

Internationally renowned piercing, tattoo, and jewelry brand Wildcat will open its first brick-and-mortar store in Finland in Joensuu in April 2026. The new 110-square-meter Wildcat Store Joensuu is centrally located in the Iso Myy shopping center and brings a completely new, international-level piercing and tattoo shop concept to Finland.

Operating since 1989, Wildcat is one of the European pioneers in the field and operates in numerous countries. Wildcat manufactures most of its piercing jewelry itself, as it wants to stand out from mass-produced jewelry with its “Made in Germany” quality. In Finland, Wildcat has been available through the Wildcat.fi online store since April 2023. The rapid growth of the online store has created a strong foundation for the brick-and-mortar store that is now opening.
Finland’s first Wildcat store is being opened by Joensuu-based Prime Line Production Oy, which operates officially under the Wildcat brand. The company’s owner and CFO is Jukka Nevalainen, a long-time entrepreneur also known from the band Nightwish.

“We have been waiting for this moment since we opened the Wildcat.fi online store in 2023. From the beginning, it was clear that we wanted to bring Wildcat to Finland in the form of a brick-and-mortar store. It is wonderful and meaningful that Finland’s first Wildcat Store is opening in my hometown of Joensuu. The modern store and international top-level expertise will bring a new level of quality and options to the piercing and tattoo services available in Joensuu,” says Nevalainen.

Recruitment for the store staff will begin in week 2/2026. Construction and interior design of the premises will begin in mid-March, and the store will open to customers in April 2026.
