Judas Priest’s Rob Halford says “Paranoid” is his favourite metal song
Rob Halford of Judas Priest is known as a metal god and one of the most respected vocalists in the genre. Now the metal god himself has been included in Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
Halford named Black Sabbath’s iconic “Paranoid” as his favourite metal song. The reason Halford gives for this is that the song changed the music and “took off like a metal rocket”.
Halford also mentions Slayer’s “Angel of Death” and Metallica’s “Ride The Lighting“.
