Jimmy Eat World announce Bleed American 25th anniversary tour

The dates for Jimmy Eat World‘s 25th anniversary tour honoring their fourth studio album, “Bleed American,” have been announced, as per theprp. A long list of supporting groups, including Rise Against, Thrice, Sunny Day Real Estate, Minus The Bear, Sparta, Motion City Soundtrack, Hot Mulligan, and others, were enlisted by the alternative rock/pop-punk group to perform on a few gigs throughout that run. According to Jim Adkins, guitarist for Jimmy Eat World, the band will perform “Bleed American” in its full every night along with other well-known songs.

I feel like at this time in our lives, especially for me, it’s important to get back to a place that you can savor. This tour is designed to be an elevated version of our show, a heightened experience with production that reflects 25 years of learning how to stretch artistically in the live environment.

When we printed the last mix of ‘Bleed American‘, we felt like we had achieved something great for ourselves. There was no barometer of how it would connect with people outside of the studio, and we are still in awe with the life the record and songs have had since their original release. ‘Bleed American‘ is as much yours as it is ours, so we want to celebrate it with you all in a very special way.

For the North America dates, tickets are available starting with an artist, CITI, and American Express presale (more details below) beginning Wednesday, February 11. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale on Friday, February 13 at 10 a.m. local time.
