Jay Weinberg and his wife Chloe deserve congratulations as they recently announced that they are expecting their first child, as loudwire reports. The drummer has had a busy year, continuing his career with Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious Grooves after leaving Slipknot. Additionally, he recently released “Sandstone,” his first solo song featuring vocals by George Clarke of Deafheaven. It is anticipated to be the first of several tracks with guest vocals that the drummer has been working on for years. Weinberg conveyed the ideal message in a succinct and straightforward manner. The couple held an ultrasound picture of their child while posing outside for an Instagram post.

Members of the music industry, including Mike Portnoy, Caity Babs, Charlie Benante, John Tempesta, Pete Webber, Greyson Nekrutman, Chloe Trujillo, Ra Diaz, Will Hunt, Tanner Wayne, and many more, responded to the happy message with heartfelt congratulations. In 2019, Weinberg and Chloe Howcroft became engaged after the drummer went down on one knee on a dirt road with a view of Machu Picchu’s verdant, alpine scenery, just below the clouds. In September 2020, the pair finally tied the knot in a private ceremony. Fans were urged to SMS or contribute a picture to their virtual wedding guestbook because, regrettably, the day fell amid the COViD-19 pandemic.

Jay Weinberg discussed his November 2023 outpatient surgery to repair his left hip’s torn labrum and shave off a malformed portion of his femur during an appearance on a recent episode of the Make It Perfect podcast. Two weeks following Slipknot’s announcement that he was leaving the long-running Iowa-based outfit, Weinberg underwent the procedure.

About the summer of 2018, I would go on a run and I was in debilitating pain. I found out that I had a misshapen bone, my femur going into my left hip. I had excess bone on one side of it, so, unbeknownst to me, until the pain and the inflammation started getting to me, it had torn my labrum. So I tore my labrum and just wanted to baby it and protect it. ‘Cause it didn’t bother me when I was drumming; it was only bothering me when I ran, really. And when I was younger, I had done kickboxing and stuff, and I’m sure that that motion didn’t do me any favors. But anyway, so it was summer of 2018, I’d go for a run and I’d have pain. But then I had a surgery to correct it [in] November.
