Jamie Campbell Bower‘s stunning, dramatic new track, “Waiting For Your Love,” was recently released, as per Kerrang. Jamie’s focus has returned to music a few months after wrapping filming Stranger Things 5 and said farewell to his legendary role as Henry Creel/Vecna. Additionally, he has gotten back together with his brother Sam Bower, who used to sing and play guitar with Jamie in the now-defunct punk band COUNTERFEIT, for his first new song of 2026.
Bower was the lead singer of the band The Darling Buds, which disbanded in June 2015 and never put out an album. Prior to that, he played drums in a group called William K. He joined the punk rock group Counterfeit as lead singer and guitarist. The group toured the US in 2017 and released its debut album in March of the same year. Bower used their Instagram profile to announce the band’s breakup in November 2020. Prior to their breakup, the band recorded a second album, but it was never released. Soon after, he started releasing music as a solo artist.
Bower claimed to have experienced grief and despair when Counterfeit broke up. He added that the framework of country songs is why he enjoys creating them.
As far back as I can remember, whenever I picked up a microphone, it was harder for me to sing wholly in a British accent than to just wail away and drop my Ts or bend notes so it almost sounds American.
Additionally, he expressed his desire to develop a musical project that draws inspiration from the Divine Comedy, particularly Dante’s Inferno. Bower is a baritone. Bower announced the creation of a new band named BloodMagic on April 1, 2024. In addition, he removed all of his Instagram pictures and made a new account titled after the band, which included drummer Kyle Adams.
