The Swiss nu metal band Chaoseum will be arriving to Finland for the first time this July when they hit the stage at Kaaos Festival in Vaasa. Chaoszine caught up with the band’s vocalist CK Smile and bassist Finn Broker to talk about what to expect from the upcoming festival show and how the completion of their new album is progressing.

Hello, Chaoseum! How’s your spring been so far and who will be answering our questions?

CK and Finn: Hey! Pretty good thanks and yours? Me (CK) and Finn.

You’re currently working on new music. How is it coming along?

CK: Very good, our new album is done!

Do you have a release date in mind for a new song or maybe even the whole album?

Finn: Yes! September 19th 2025.

What themes or emotions do you find yourselves returning to most often when writing songs?

Ck: I’m talking about a lot of things of my past, my thoughts. The lyrics of this new album are the most personal that I wrote so far.

You’ll be performing at Kaaos Festival this summer and it’ll be your first show in Finland. What can we expect from the show? Any plans of playing some new material?

Finn: It will be our first time in Finland, so we are looking forward to check if your reputation as metalheads is true ;) We are going to play 2 songs of our new album that you can already find on Youtube and Spotify (“Freakin head” and “Life 4 Sale“).

You were recently on tour with Tarja Turunen and Marko Hietala. How was the tour?

CK: Hard, quick, amazing! It was an huge honor to share the stage with them.

Your visual style and stage presence are striking—how important is image to Chaoseum, and how does it tie into your music?

CK: Thanks! We try to create a “world” around our music. And because we are very ugly without it.

What has been the most defining moment for the band so far—whether on stage or in the studio?

Finn: It’s not really a moment but people, all our community supporting us and we are so thankful for that.

What does the future hold for Chaoseum? Any plans you can share with us?

CK: You will see ;)

Thank you for your time! Would you like to add something for your fans and Chaoszine’s readers?

CK and Finn: Thank you all my friends! And whatever happens, keep your smile!
