In 2004, the American band Alter Bridge began a journey following the end of two bands, The Mayfield Four and the multi-award-winning Creed. Twenty years later and they’re still writing classics for many generations, recording albums, touring around the world and doing all of that with the same lineup since day one, showing that the quality of the art made by Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips remains stronger than ever.
Following the release of Myles and Mark’s most recent solo albums, the band reunited, recorded and will release their eighth album, self-titled, via Napalm Records on January 9th. Once again, the album was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, known for his work not only on the band’s discography, but also with Slash and more recently Mammoth.
Promoting their new record, Chaoszine spoke with Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy in Sweden to talk about the process of recording the album at the legendary 5150 Studios, their friendship with Wolf Van Halen and how they’ve kept the same lineup for the last two decades.
