Two distinct musical outfits, GWAR and Insane Clown Posse (ICP), recently participated in a novel installment of the ‘Hot Ones Versus’ series, as per theprp. This episode was released coincident with the holiday season.
Representing ICP were Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope, while GWAR was represented by vocalist Blöthar the Berserker and guitarist Balsac The Jaws Of Death. This competitive format involved a progressive sequence of inquiries and trials.
Incorrect responses or unsuccessful endeavors were penalized through the consumption of chicken wings liberally coated with ‘The Last Dab’ hot sauce.
During the episode, Shaggy 2 Dope was prompted to discuss a notable incident from 2018. This event involved his attempted physical confrontation, specifically a dropkick, directed at Limp Bizkit vocalist Fred Durst during a live performance.
The attempt proved largely unsuccessful, resulting in his immediate removal by security personnel. Subsequently, Durst publicly ridiculed Shaggy 2 Dope from the performance stage.
Although this incident instigated a brief period of interpersonal conflict, it appears that the underlying tensions were substantially mitigated shortly thereafter.
Within the context of this ‘Versus’ competition, Shaggy 2 Dope was questioned regarding the motivations behind his attempt to physically accost the nu metal performer. His response to this inquiry was then presented.
Well, alcohol was involved. That was done as a work — [a] wrestling work dropkick — I wasn’t actually trying to dropkick him for real. I don’t know why in my drunk brain, I just figured that he was also a wrestler and he’d know to ‘sell’ the move. He didn’t sell it… How he sold it was their security came out and choked me out onstage and dragged me out. I’ve apologized a million times over since. I feel like a dumbass of course for doing that shit.
I guess that clears it up, am I right?
