Infected Rain to tour Europe with Dagoba in early 2022

Author Arto Mäenpää - 4.11.2021

In support of their forthcoming album, “Ecdysis”, Moldovan progressive modern metal unit Infected Rain has announced to team up with metal heavyweights Dagoba for an extensive European tour in early 2022!

Infected Rain belongs to one of the most exciting new acts in the heavy music world, with charismatic, multi-talented frontwoman Lena Scissorhands emerging as one of the fastest-rising leading ladies of the genre. Now, the band arises from the dark depths once again – freshly off their very first tour of the USA with Butcher Babies and Stitched Up Heart – to reveal the next chapter of their metamorphosis. The band will release their otherworldly fifth album, Ecdysis, on January 7, 2022 via Napalm Records. Following 2019’s “Endorphin”, Infected Rain took the heavy scene by storm, aside prestigous festival stages and with their high- voltage live performances the band has toured with acts alike Lacuna Coil, Eluveitie and many more.

Formed in 1998 and a touring history with bands such as Machine Head, In Flames or Fear Factory, French groove metal act Dagoba will round up this eclectic tour package as one of THE live highlights in early 2022!

“We are extremely thrilled about coming back to Europe again! We missed you all so much! Come celebrate with us our new album and the big return on the stage!”– Lena Scissorhands

On their upcoming album, Infected Rain have redefined themselves. “Ecdysis” electrifies with resonating riffs, cosmic electronics, Lena’s treasure trove of vocal abilities and intense lyrical themes ranging from depression and abandonment to embracing reality – showcasing the band’s advancement while blending extreme, progressive groove with dark, haunting melody.

Just recently, they’ve shared a first album appetizer, the brand new single “Postmortem Pt. 1”. The potent track dispenses the band’s patented formula instantly, with eerie synth-laden soundscapes seamlessly cascading into countless layers of cosmic atmosphere backed by thick, grooving riffs, barreling drums and skyscraper growls. Get yourself into the perfect mood of finally seeing them live again soon, and watch Infected Rain’s new music video for “Postmortem Pt. 1” below:

Produced once again by Valentin Voluta, “Ecdysis” successfully demonstrates ultramodern brutality without sacrificing emotion and melody – showcasing a new layer of Infected Rain that longtime followers and new fans alike will embrace.

While the whole world was in a deep depression, Ecdysis was slowly but surely maturing“, Lena commented earlier. “The time in isolation away from all our plans and goals, away from loved ones and the stage, brought out something so new and different in us. A new chapter starts with this album, a chapter of raw emotions and complete commitment.
