Indie label goes behind Molotov Solution’s back with vinyl pressing

Deathly Decibel Records has come under fire from Molotov Solution for reportedly publicizing the pressing of their 2009 LP “The Harbinger” behind the band’s back. Instead of contacting the band, DDR bought the rights to produce this pressing from Metal Blade Records, their previous label, for which the band will not be compensated. Molotov Solution has previously been denied financial support and licensing rights by the label. Prior independent record labels expressed interest in pressing this album, but Molotov Solution informed them of their situation, and the majority of the labels decided not to proceed because of the rights issue. It seems that DDR never had direct contact with the band about this. Although the label hasn’t commented on this yet, they have started taking down criticism of them, including from the band members themselves. They have merch and copies of their new “The Void” EP available for anyone who want to directly support the band.
