With the worldwide success of their latest album “The Black”, Imminence prove that they are one of the fastest-growing and most in-demand acts in the modern metal scene. The majority of sold-out dates on their recent first US headline tour speak volumes in this regard. Added to this are appearances at some of the summer’s most prestigious festivals and support slots for Bring Me The Horizon.
But that’s no reason for the Swedes to slow down, on the contrary: today Imminence are releasing a new version of the song “Death By A Thousand Cuts” with Lucas Woodland, singer of Holding Absence (stream here).
He says about the collaboration:
I’m so excited to be a part of this version of ‘Death By A Thousand Cuts’! Imminence is a band I’ve loved for a long time, I saw them play for the first time in 2019… Watching their evolution over the years has been special, and to be invited into their world to sing on this amazing track is an honor! I can’t wait for the fans of Imminence and Holding Absence to hear this track – it’s something special – and I hope I’ve done it justice!
Imminence vocalist Eddie Berg adds:
We’ve put so much of ourselves into this album, and for us it really is ‘the year of The Black’. We thought it would be interesting to look at the songs from a new angle, in this case with a feature artist breathing new life into the tracks. Lucas is an incredible singer and we have been following each other’s careers for many years. I’m honored to have him sing on one of our songs.
In October, their The Black EU tour will take the band to Germany, Austria and Switzerland with support from Aviana and Allt. Some shows are already sold out or on their way to being sold out, the remaining tickets are available here.
