Iggy Pop has postponed two gigs of his ongoing European tour “due to a problem with his voice”.

The first show to be postponed was the July 5 concert in Mantova, Italy, with August 30 as the new date, at the Esedra of Palazzo Te. Now, the July 7 concert in Vienna, Austria had to be postponed as well; it will take place on September 2, at the Vienna Konserthus.

Iggy Pop released a statement on social media:

“If you were there, you know I croaked my way through my last show in Greece and my voice is still recovering. I must postpone my next show in Mantova, Italy July 05.I have not taken this decision lightly. I love my fans. But I must protect my voice. I’m so sorry but, I’ll come back and make it up to you.”
