“I started to mimic Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson before finding my own way of singing” – Marko Hietala reveals his story as a metal vocalist

Marko Hietala is best known as the former bassist and male vocalist of Nightwish but during his career he has been involved with several different bands such as Northern Kings and Tarot. Alongside with being active in several different bands Hietala also has a solo career and is involved in the very popular Raskasta Joulua tour in Finland where several well known metal musicians make their own interpretations of famous Christmas songs.

Chaoszine sat down with Marko Hietala before the Raskasta Joulua -concert in Seinäjoki Areena, Seinäjoki, Finland on November 25th and discussed with Hietala about his story as a metal vocalist. You can check out the latest episode from our video series below:
