I Prevail debut pounding new single “Rain” ahead of album release

American melodic metalcore outfit I Prevail have just dropped a new music video for their latest single, “Rain”, offering a fresh look at what’s to come from their forthcoming fourth studio album, “Violent Nature”. The song sets the tone for the band’s most diverse and aggressive work yet and arrives ahead of the full album on September 19th via Fearless Records.

The cinematic visuals for “Rain” were once again crafted by director Orie McGinness, who previously worked with I Prevail on their videos for “Violent Nature” and other recent singles. Known for collaborations with acts like Bad Omens and Spiritbox, McGinness brings his dynamic style into play again, blending moody lighting with scenic storytelling that underscores the emotional weight of the track.

This release follows the band’s recent string of intense singles—including “Violent Nature” and “Into Hell”—which have already pushed boundaries in both sound and lineup. Earlier this year the band parted ways with clean vocalist Brian Burkheiser, signaling a new era propelled by vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe and contributions from guitarist Dylan Bowman.

“Rain” pushes that transition even further, delivering polished melodic vocals alongside sharp metalcore instrumentation. The track continues I Prevail‘s trend toward heavier, more emotionally charged music, a path first highlighted in earlier singles from this era.
