Australian metalcore band I Killed the Prom Queen may be making a return after a long period of silence.
Formed in the early 2000s, the band has been on hiatus since 2015. Their future has remained uncertain, especially following the tragic death of bassist Sean Kennedy in 2021 and the controversies surrounding former vocalist Michael Crafter.
Last September, the band posted a teaser on Instagram featuring their iconic logo alongside the Roman numerals MMXXV – that is, 2025. But that wasn’t all. A new clip released last night added even more excitement: in addition to the logo, it featured heavy guitar riffs and the cryptic caption “Another rumor started…”
The post also tagged a handful of new names, believed to be potential new members. All signs point to the band preparing for something bigger – perhaps a brand-new chapter in their career.
