Thrash metal giants Megadeth released what has been described as the band’s final studio album on January 23 and are currently making their way across Europe on a farewell tour that will also bring them to Finland’s Tuska Festival on June 26. The European run kicked off at Mystic Festival in Gdańsk, Poland on June 4, where Chaoszine sat down with the band’s founder, vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine for an in-depth conversation.

During the interview, Mustaine discussed his upcoming book “In My Darkest Hour”, the making of Megadeth’s farewell album, the impact of Finnish guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari joining the band, as well as the health challenges he has faced throughout his career and how they have shaped his outlook on life and music.
